Oktober Fun

This month has brought a lot of change.  Similar to every month in the past year,  Mason has got some new tricks.

For instance He used to know that he could crawl and just sit and move around.  Now, he is EVERYWHERE! He thinks it's funny when you come after him to bring him back in the room.  And he thinks its very funny when you do it 10 times in a row!

He can stand up on just about anything including the stairs (as pictured above), the newly installed baby gate, ottomans, chairs, tables, bathtubs...he doesn't discriminate!

It used to be safe to stick him in the pack and play to use the restroom or clean up the house.

Now he shows you where you've missed a spot while cleaning!

And then he laughs about it.

So last week we wanted to get our shrubs pruned (that haven't been touched in the last 20 years) and we enlisted young Mason's help.

Here he is holding the clippers waiting for the perfect opportunity to clip something!

Oh so that's how I work these.  This is going to be fun!

Um, Daddy do you really want to know what I think about your tree trimming job?

After our strenuous activities outside one of us got to come in and take a nap.  Can you guess who that was?IMG_1627_resize

Apparently this is our hint that we need to be purchasing a new bed.  Do you think he just doesn't have enough room to spread out?

After the snooze we had to begin our vigorous exercise plan.

  It starts with push-ups.

  Then we do pull-ups

And finally, we look around with a pitiful face to see who will rescue us.  (Mason hasn't quite learned how to get down after he sits up)

So that he doesn't learn how do get down the stairs from the top we installed a baby gate. Aka Mason's jail cell.

Can someone get me out of here?  Pretty please!

A special thanks to my mom for her expert assistance with the installation of the gate.  Also for a few secret items which will be reported in future bloggings!

We loved having Gramma in town!

And finally I would like to say that I reached my goal today.  My goal this month was to blog twice.  Yes,  today is the 31st.  Yes, It is 10:30 PM   but I reached my goal and next month I will know not to set them so high! HA!   Hope you all had a Wonderful Halloween and sorry there are no Mason costume pictures.  Young Mason has a little fever and we couldn't see putting him in a furry suit.  Maybe we'll put it on him for Thanksgiving!   Hope you enjoyed this installment of the WV update!

Love, Brian, Jamie, and Mason
