The little birthday boy.

Well as most of you know yesterday was a very special day in the DiFalco house.   November 19th 2008 Meant that a special young boy turned 1 year old.  It started with a early morning oatmeal with a candle in it.

Mason's main concern was touching the candle.

 

The oatmeal just added that special "it's your birthday" touch to the day.  After that was over Daddy took Mason to the babysitters and the fun continued.  When Mason came home we prepared a feast...complete with star shaped mini birthday cakes!

 

After dinner was over we let Mason go to town on his birthday cake.

Mason took it one step at a time.  Starting with trying to "pick up" the icing.

Then we patted the cake down.  Had to make sure the icing felt just right.

  Then we picked up a little cake to make sure it was a good texture.

It was all over after that!

Finally after a long and grueling inspection the cake met it's match.

In the mouth it goes!

Then there was the smearing.  That was fun!

What me?  I didn't eat the cake!

The Aerial Aftermath!

    Over all the cake eating was a success.  It should only take the disaster recovery team about a week to clean up the mess!  Ha Ha.  Well the big party is on Sunday we will keep you updated with some pictures and possibly have some pictures with a special guest that is flying in tomorrow!  Otherwise known as Auntie Kate!  We will update more later.
