Or at least it is today. I will now give you an update for the last few (6) weeks.
Aunt Katie came to visit for my birthday and for Halloween. We had a great visit full of activities.
We made Lots of cookies!
Katie helped with the decorating!
I helped with the eating of the misshapen cookies. Incidentally this was during the world series.
Mason helped in the mess making department! He's very talented indeed.
He's very focused!
As it was Halloween we all had our costumes on except for Brian who was the designated party pooper.
O.k. so I was supposed to be a ghost...We now realize that I look like a polar bear....oh well. Mason was a train conductor....and Aunt Katie a hobo aboard the Mason express.
Mason wanted very little to do with his conductors hat. In other news Brian wanted very little to do with being seen with me "dressed" as a polar bear.
So wrong in so many ways....I understand that now. It seemed funny then!
Mason and his Gramma!
While Katie was here there were other activities as well...
Mason got a modeling contract...or at least he thinks he did. He was really working hard at posing!
Let me just cross my feet here. Oh, now I'm comfortable!
There was a lot of fun to be had in the Sand box.
Mason climbed the mountain into the sandbox!
Mason had a lot of fun playing with Katie's "hobo" stick!
With all that fun came a lot of hard work. Katie was brought in as slave labor and had a very hard job to do!
Katie was put in charge of making sure the new baby's room would be ready by the time she left. This included cleaning the entire room out....cleaning, folding and putting away about 10,000 clothing articles. She even had to help hang shelves and a couple sets of blinds. Luckily she was free because otherwise we couldn't afford her.
While she was working I took it upon myself to supervise.
Someone has to make sure no one slacks off.
In this case I'm not sure who's job that was!
Mason had a great time watching us get his new furniture ready!
Finally his new room and "baby brother's" room are both ready for action!
While Katie and Mason had a fun time playing, sadly there was a day when she had to return to Idaho.
Good thing Mason is such a packing expert. Note: the fingers on the chin....hmmm he's thinking.
Mason was already very excited that we were going to see the "hop hopper" land at the airport but was even more excited about the construction taking place just outside! It's a bulldwozer!
Just waiting for the plane to come!
Looking to see the plane land!
Well that about does it for the month of October and the first few days of November. Whew!
